Bloggers Networking Event

Last night, me and my friend together with her sister attended the DigitalFilipino.com Club and Bloggers Networking Event at the Pantawan Hall in Grand Regal Hotel in Lanang. The event was sponsored by one of the club members which is PAGCOR and it's about a networking event/fellowship where e-commerce industry players and bloggers can catch up and exchange updates.

Since its effingly FREE (ding!), I immediately signed up for the event and made an effort to include it in my itinerary (as if I have a lot of appointments to attend to that night... Hakhak!). Anyway, when we came to the venue, we were then greeted by a charming lady who assisted us in the registration and gave us freebies. After that, we were then again greeted by, lo and behold, the buffet table! Even though our stomachs were already full (as if!), we took small portions of the food that were served for courtesy's sake (Charing!). After dinner, the program began. We first introduced ourselves to our fellow bloggers and I was really very nervous while I'm introducing myself to all of them. Well...

After the "getting-to-know-each-other" part, the speaker then presided with the presentation of the DigitalFilipino.com's objectives and goals. After that, she then announced the blogs who made it to the top 100 influential blogs of 2008 by Ratified.org. I was really surprised that a lot of Davaoeño bloggers made it to the list. I was even inspired when they gave out their testimonials like how their blog got a high PR or Alexa and how they started to generate income through their blogs. It revived my hopes of having a popular and income-generating blog. The program ended after the presentation of the PAGCOR's latest achievements and plans. Tables were then set-up after the program for a poker tournament exclusively to bloggers. Since I don't know how to play poker, I just spent the whole night camwhoring with the other bloggers.
